G-STIC CLIMATE ACTION PROGRAMME
Third project call with €17.6 million subsidies for climate projects closed on 18 August 2023
In 2021, the Government of Flanders launched the G-STIC Climate Action Programme to support developing countries in the fight against climate change. By providing financial support to projects for climate change adaptation and mitigation, the G-STIC Climate Action Programme aims to strengthen developing countries' implementation of climate policies, strategies, regulations and action plans.
The G-STIC Climate Action Programme supports projects that aim to demonstrate technologies, disseminate knowledge, and build capacity in developing countries and in which a Flemish organization takes the lead. For the third project call of the G-STIC Climate Action Programme, the Government of Flanders is providing €17.6 million subsidies.
The third project call closed on 18 August 2023. All submitted project proposals will be evaluated by an independent jury under the coordination of the Department of Environment & Spatial Development. Eligible demonstration projects will be invited in the week of 25 September 2023 to present their project orally to an independent jury.
The Government of Flanders will decide on the allocation of the subsidies. The approved projects will be announced by end December 2023 and need to start before March 2024.
